Boaters Safety

Persons born on or after July 1, 1996 shall not operate a motorboat unless they have been issued a boating safety certificate. A person of less that 14 years old may not legally operate a PWC at any time. (visit www.boat-ed.com for additional rules)

All watercrafts shall travel COUNTER-CLOCKWISE

Slow - No wake speed within 100 feet of shoreline, moored & anchored watercrafts, swim area and persons.

A person shall not cross within 150 ft. behind another vessel other than a personal watercraft, that is moving at greater than a slow – no wake speed.

No water skiing between 1 hours after sunset and 1 hour prior to sunrise. PWC no towing between sunset and 8AM.

Speed after dark is SLOW NO-WAKE, with lights on.

Must have a spotter in addition to the driver while towing persons on water skis, tubes, etc.

Sailboats have the right-of-way to motorboats while they are under sail power

Scuba Diver's - A vessel shall not be operated within 200 feet of a buoyed diver’s flag unless it is involved in tendering the diving operation. A person diving shall stay within a surface area of 100 feet of a diver’s flag.
Firework Safety
Each year we have our annual Firework Show and here is want you need to know to keep everyone safe.

Barges will be on the south end of the Island straight out from Marina just prior to dusk

Keep all watercrafts 400 foot from barges for your safety and the launchers

NO-WAKE around barges

If unsafe launcher will stop show

DNR will be on the lake to ensure everyones safety
